Privacy Policy

Ameno respects your privacy. This policy explains what data the app handles and how.

Information We Collect

Ameno is designed to minimize data collection.

The information you create inside the app — your prayer history, mood reflections, prayer schedule, selected apps to pause, and onboarding preferences — is stored on your device and (where iCloud sync is available) in your own private iCloud container.

Ameno does not require account creation, does not ask for your name or email, and does not collect personally identifiable information.

iCloud (CloudKit)

Your prayer history syncs through Apple’s CloudKit using your own private iCloud container. This means your data is associated with your Apple ID and only accessible to you. Kinuvy and Ameno cannot see, access, or read this data on any server — it stays in your iCloud.

Deleting the app removes the local copy. To remove the iCloud copy as well, you can disable iCloud for Ameno or sign out of iCloud on your device.

Subscriptions and Purchases

All purchases are processed by Apple. Ameno uses RevenueCat to track subscription entitlements (whether your purchase is active, when it renews, and which tier you bought). RevenueCat receives an anonymous app-user identifier generated for your device and transaction metadata (product identifier, purchase date, renewal status).

RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, payment method, or Apple ID. Kinuvy does not receive any of this information either — Apple handles all billing.

Screen Time and Family Controls

To pause selected apps during prayer, Ameno uses Apple’s Family Controls framework. The list of apps you choose to pause stays on your device and is never sent to Kinuvy or any third party. Apple does not share this selection with us; the framework operates entirely on-device.

Notifications

Ameno uses local notifications to remind you of scheduled prayer times. These notifications are generated and delivered by your device. Nothing about your schedule or reminders is sent to a remote server.

Analytics

Ameno uses TelemetryDeck, a privacy-first analytics service, to understand aggregate app usage — for example, how many people complete onboarding. TelemetryDeck receives only anonymized, hashed identifiers; it cannot identify you and does not track you across apps or websites. It never receives your prayer content, moods, or reflections.

Advertising Measurement

To understand which ads help people discover Ameno, the app includes the TikTok Business SDK. This sharing happens only if you explicitly allow it through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you allow it, TikTok receives:

• Device identifiers, including the advertising identifier (IDFA)
• App events: app installed, app opened, onboarding completed, first prayer completed
• Purchase metadata as reported by the App Store: product identifier, price, and currency

We never share your prayer content or titles, moods, reflections, schedules, or anything about your religious practice beyond the fact that the app was used.

If you decline the prompt, iOS blocks this data sharing at the operating-system level and Ameno remains fully functional — nothing is ever gated on this permission. You can change your decision at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Children

Ameno is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the app, please contact us and we will help.

Your Control

You can:

• Revoke Screen Time / Family Controls access in iOS Settings at any time
• Allow or revoke ad-measurement tracking in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking
• Disable notifications in iOS Settings or in Ameno’s Settings → Notifications
• Delete the app to remove local data
• Disable iCloud for Ameno or sign out of iCloud to remove the cloud copy
• Request data-removal questions by email at [email protected]

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a new effective date. If we introduce a feature that changes how data is handled, we will update this policy before the change ships.
